Super Bowl XLVI in Indy!!

Forgive me while I play catch up for a little bit...

This year the Super Bowl was in Indianapolis! 

We went to Super Bowl village downtown the day before the Super Bowl. We picked the ONLY day it rained and was cold (of course!) but we managed to have a great time!

 This is all of us! We went with the Hill's! We left Maverick and they left Avery at home b/c of the weather!

 

We were pretty excited about the Giants!

 I had some $$ spiked mint hot chocolate from the St Elmo's booth. It was delicious!

 You can call me a sucker b/c I thought this was some sort of 'exclusive to the village' can. Not so much. 

I paid $3.50 for it. They were at Kroger for $1 or less. Fail.

 We met Eli Manning. He was very still and posed like this for a long time :)

 NFL Indy Cars

 So, if we are being honest the main reason I wanted to go to the festivities was to stalk celebrities :)

I only met one, but he is a pretty big deal. This is Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones!

It was hilarious b/c I saw the crowd going nuts over someone and immediately ran over and snuck up front to have my picture taken with him. I had no idea who he was :) He was very nice!!

We had a blast and I hope the Super Bowl comes back to Indy. The village was awesome!

Park fun!

Today we decided to go to a small park near our house. We were the only ones there and Maverick had a blast! He ran right up the stairs like a pro. He really enjoyed all of the rocks and putting them on the slide! When it was time to leave he had a cow and cried the whole way home!

17 months!!

17 month Stats:

Height : I'm not sure, but I think he is going through a growth spurt!

Weight: not sure exactly, but my guess is around 32 lbs

 

Size: 6 in diapers 24 months/2T in clothes!! 7 & 1/2 W shoes

Teeth: I will have to get back to you on the exact count!

Sleeping: He is a pretty good sleeper. He likes to sleep with us, but is in his bed 95% of the time :) This morning he even let me sleep until 9am!!!!!!

Eating: He is a bottomless pit! He loves food. He will eat anything you put in front of him. Right now if he sees you dipping your food he has to do it too...salsa, ketchup, syrup, you name it and he needs it if you have it!

Movement: He is running/walking all of the time.

Words and sounds: He will say anything when it's just the three of us. However, as soon as I try to record him or get him on the phone he is quiet. Right now everything is "Dana". The funny thing is that he says her name no less than 50 times/day, but she has never heard it. He refuses to say it when she is around!!! He is such a stinker!!

 

Milestones: Cutting Molars!

Favorite toys: all of his ride-on toys, golf clubs, his mini football that he got from Weezy, and lots more

Dislikes: diaper changes, being told "no", coming inside from playing outside, not getting his way

Places I went this month: Park, Shopping for new shoes, Cathy's, Mammy's, Mamaw & Papaw's petting zoo

 

Other special things about me this month: There is a huge personality in this little guy! He is so much fun. He loves to be a part of everything. He jabbers all of the time. He also is really good at throwing tantrums. I was sure we wouldn't have to worry about this until at least age 2...I was very, very wrong. He is not a fan of time outs. However, He will put himself in timeouts when he feels the need :) He is a huge fan of Sesame street, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and music. He loves to dance. His favorite music channel on tv is the Malt shop oldies station! He loves to brush his teeth and take baths. He would stay in the bath tub all day long if you would let him!!!

Bloomington

Last weekend we made a last minute decision to go and stay all night with my sister!

I knew that we would get plenty of entertainment watching Mav and Dana's dogs interacting!



They did all have one thing in common....


They love snacks!!!


For supper we ordered in Bub's burgers. Holy cow...best hamburger I have ever had!! Too bad I ordered a kiddie hamburger and it was the size of a White Castle!! Lol


Dana has an awesome garden tub and I knew Mav would love it! She had to vacuum it out for us...lol (for the record it didn't look dirty at all, but she insisted)


He loved it. He couldn't figure out the jets. They cracked him up!


Weezy watched with a close eye waiting for a chance to get in :)


Maverick was so excited to be at Aunt Dana's that he didn't sleep much. He was afraid he was going to miss something! The bad news is that we all had to pay for it the next day! Talk about rotten!!


One of Dana's coworkers gave us her grandsons fisher-price house. He loves it!!


We had a great time!! Thanks Aunt Dana!!

Happy new year! (19 days late)

If you know anything about me, I am a procrastinator.

 Therefore, you are getting a happy new year post 19 days later :)

Our January has been pretty quiet. Maverick had an ear infection and strep throat. We actually stayed in for NYE and had fun. Maverick woke up right after the ball dropped and was up dancing. It was adorable!

This was his NYE outfit!

While he was sick he slept with us every night.

 I went to bed one night and found Mav and Matt sleeping in the exact same position!

He is now feeling much better!! I will load some videos soon of him walking/running!
