Long weekend!

Last weekend was a 3 day weekend b/c of the holiday! Woo-hoo!!

Maverick had a cold so it was a bit of a rocky start.

Saturday morning he got up and snuggled with me and his cup on the couch!!

 Then he sat quietly and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for awhile!

 Later on Mammy and Aunt JJ came over and brought surprises to Matt and Maverick. Aunt JJ got Maverick an adorable 4th of July outfit!! Mammy helped Maverick forget that it was almost time to eat!

He loves his Mammy. She stays with him during the week while we work.

 I found this Snowman bunting suit at a yard sale. It is too small for him so I am sending to cousin Elisabeth. I decided to see if I could squeeze him into it for at least one picture b/c I love it so much!

Maverick did not think it was such a cute idea.

 I crack up at this picture. It looks like he is thinking "my mom is crazy and think's I'm a doll. Please HELP!!"!!



8 months!!!

8 month Stats:

Height : 28 inches

Weight: not sure exactly, but probably close to 22lbs

Size: 4 in diapers. 6-9month clothes  and some 12 months!!

Teeth: 2 bottom teeth!!! And we are working on at least 2 on the top!!

Sleeping: He is still a really good sleeper. He sleeps every night from 7:00pm to 7am! He also takes a couple of good naps during the day! (Some nights we haven't been so lucky thanks to the teething monster)!

Eating: He drinks about 5 bottles of formula/day. His favorite solids are squash, all fruits, and mixed veggies. He also loves oatmeal with bananas!! We let him take a taste of pineapples, oreos, and ice cream this month. He loved the sweets! he didn't seem to feel good after the ice cream. I'm guessing it was the dairy.

  

Movement: He is starting to scoot/crawl. he is in no hurry and there must be something he is going after. he doesn't just go to go yet!

Words and sounds: He "talks" a lot. But no real words yet. Sometimes it seems like you hear "Hi"!

Milestones: 2 teeth!! Starting to scoot, and winning the baby show!! It's been a big month!! 

Favorite toys: He loves books. he likes to look at them and chew on them!! His favorite toys are still cups and water bottles!!

Places I went this month: the fair, Aunt Osie's 97th birthday party, and lots of time outside!!

Other special things about me this month: Maverick is the 2011 Rush County Fair baby show King!!!! He did such an awesome job!!

My little Fishy!!!

While Daddy was at golf tonight we decided to jump in the pool!!

When we started to get in I thought it might be too cold. But, Maverick was lunging at the water!!

We only stayed in about 20 minutes, but he had a blast!!!!

 He was having a ball in his float kicking his legs!!! He kept laughing!!

 All smiles!!!

The Wolf Pack on the farm!!

Tonight we went to Mamaw & Papaw's house!

They live on a farm and we had a great visit!

(yes Mamaw, next time will be longer b/c we will remember to bring Mav's food :) )

Daymien and Maya Jo (Maverick's cousins) were there living it up in the pool!!

It was such a beautiful day to sit in the shade and visit!!!

 The baby was smaller than Maverick! He wasn't sure what to think!!

 Anyone who knows me knows that I am terrified of birds of any sorts. I have a special kind of hate for chickens. I like to eat them but they scare the daylights out of me. M &P have 69 of them!!!!!!!!!!!

I stayed far away to get this picture!!

 Maverick did pet the chicken.....eeeewwwwwwwww!!!!!

 Mamaw was trying to get him to look in the window at the goats. He was too worried about their dog. He loved her!!

He never does that!! He must love his Maya Jo!!

 Mamaw brought out a blanket for them to play!!

Pug love!

Pugs are my favorite dogs! I love them!

Someday a pug will join the Wolf Pack (I don't care what Matt says!!)

I have a pug niece and nephew who I love very much!!

Maverick's Godfather and his fiance just adopted a baby girl pug. ::swoon::

Her name is Dalila and she is so stinking cute!!

Jackie and Dalila came over for a playdate early this weekend.

Maverick wasn't so sure what to think of her at first!

Dalila tried to kiss and nibble at Maverick!

He decided to grab her face pet her too!

We can't wait for our next play date!!!

Puffs please!

This weekend we bought Mav some of the Gerber puff treats. We bought 3 different kinds and the apple cinnamon are his favorites! He wasn't so sure about these at first and would make a funny face. The second step was sucking off all of the flavor and then spitting them out! I think he has it down now! He gets excited when he sees the containers!

He also likes to play with the containers!

When he wants more he makes this face! It's hilarious!

Let's go to the fair! Take two!

We decided to back to the fair on Friday night.

 (Yes, it might have had something to do with me not getting a corndog or elephant ear the first night ;) )

We ran into my mom and sister Jeannette while we were there. Maverick was in a much better mood than the previous night and was happy to see them. I let him have a few licks off my elephant ear and he went crazy! I think we're in trouble next year! Aunt JJ decided to get some pineapple whip and share with Mav. It was hilarious b/c he would make an awful face like he hated it, but then he would yell and grab for it!

Matt got some ice cream too and here are some pictures of him trying a swirl!!!
