Tiny Prints

It's that time of year where we all start thinking about Christmas. I do say "we all" b/c I started thinking Christmas months ago :) My first stop for ordering Christmas cards will be at Tiny Prints They are amazing! I have ordered cards from this site in the past and the quality is superb! They always have great special offers and right now there is even a contest going on!

Tonight Maverick wanted to play on his quad that he got for his birthday! He was having a blast!

I tried to put it up because it was bedtime. Someone was trying to sneak back on!

Happy Halloween!

It will be no surprise to anyone that knows me that Maverick had 3 Halloween costumes.

We settled on Pooh b/c he could not pull off the hat very well.

Oh, and he looked adorable in it :)

 We just went to a few places to show off his cuteness.
We stopped at Mammy and Aunt JJ's where he got some puffs!!

Our last stop was Aunt Sarah and Uncle Beef's. Oliver was not a huge fan of our little Winnie the Pooh!

We were arriving home at the same time as the Hill's.

They were all dying to see each other. At this point Maverick was really mad about being in his costume!

Happy 1st Birthday, Maverick!!

I cannot believe that it was already time to celebrate Maverick's first birthday. This year has gone so fast. Too fast. It is crazy to think that one year ago we were in the hospital waiting anxiously for our little blessing to enter this world. We had no idea what we were in for. It has been the craziest, happiest, most stressful, rewarding, and silliest adventure of my life. I am so blessed to be Maverick's mommy.

We celebrated Maverick's birthday at Boondocks Farms in Knightstown. It is a pumpkin patch that is super awesome. They have a corn maze, playground, hayrides, food, haunted woods, and lots more. Because our house is small I knew that we were going to have to have the party at another location. This was the perfect place. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and the owners are very accomodating.

We had a perfect day for the celebration. It was a beautiful fall day. It was a little windy, but the temperature was about 60 degrees and perfect. We had so many friends and family come to wish Maverick a happy birthday! If he only knew how loved he is :)

 I am so proud of this wreath! It took me many, many hours and around 450 ballons!!!

(Yes Dana, I made it from scratch. I did not just glue on the one.)

 We asked for no presents. It's safe to say that no one listens to me!

Maverick is One!!!!!!

12 month Stats:

Height : 26.7 lbs...93rd percentile

Weight: 31&1/2 inches (holy growth spurt!!)....94th percentile

Size: 5 in diapers 18 and 24 months in clothes!!

Teeth: working on some teeth in the back!!

Sleeping: He is starting to go to sleep on his own really well. He usually doesn't cry longer than 30 seconds and then just lets you know he is mad for another 5 until he falls asleep!

Eating: He drinks about 5 bottles of formula/day. He now wants to eat everything we eat. He LOVES cupcakes :)

Movement: He will take a few steps between Matt and I, but is not confident enough yet to take off.

Words and sounds: He talks and jabbers all of the time.  'hi' and every once in awhile a "Ma" or "Da" !! He also calls most small animals "El" (Mammy's cat is Elvis)

Milestones:  He likes to shake his head 'No' at anything you ask him!

Favorite toys: He loves his fisher-price stacking toy. His favorite activity is to take things out of his toy box and put them back inside!

Dislikes: people who don't pay attention to him in public--if he spots someone in the store who doesn't say hello he will squeal at them until they do!

Places I went this month:the doctor--I had a double ear infection again, I started going back to Cathy's (daycare) a few times a week, the airport, Canal Days, and the allergist. 

Other special things about me this month: He gets very upset when someone leaves the room. He is afraid that he is going to miss something! He loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Sesame Street. He is also sleeping in a little later most mornings!! He no longer wants to get in his jumperoo or walker at all. He would rather crawl or have you walk with him where he wants to go. He also enjoys playing independently for longer stretches of time!
